The Bargain by Mary Jo Putney
I appreciate that this book was the expanded reprint with updates to it but I found it quite slow and did not hold my concentration. I kept putting the book down, reading another book for a bit and then returning to it for a few more pages. Even worse I skipped ahead to see if it got any more exciting. It just seemed to long a book for the story.
I am sure that if I read the original version it would have flowed easier.
The heroine was just too annoying whereas the hero and his sister were much more interesting. With all that aside I did enjoy the parts that I read.
Mary Jo Putney is a hit or miss author with me. Maybe I just wasn’t in the right mood. I am glad that I got this out of my local library.
